I first met my wife, Beth, when we were 16 years old. At that time we would each spend our summers on the shores of Lake Winnepesaukee in NH. Sadly, it took me almost 20 years to come to my senses and finally ask her out! This has been, without a doubt, the smartest decision I've ever made. A little over a year after were married we brought our only son, Sawyer, into this world! My life has been truly complete ever since!

I am also a proud member of the U. S. Coast Guard Academy's class of 1986. After serving tours in Honolulu, Boston and Washington, DC, I decided to pursue a career in education. I have been teaching at the high school level for over 20 years. About 10 years ago, I began teaching engineering courses. One of the main reasons for moving to Asheville was to help develop a stronger engineering program at Christ School.
